4″ Painted Golden Gate Bridge Suspender Rope

A perfect San Francisco-themed gift that isn’t cheap or cheesy.  The authentic material made available on this website originated from the Golden Gate Bridge Suspender Rope Replacement Project (1971 – 1974). Each reclaimed suspender rope is sandblasted to remove old paint and debris, and then tightly crimped and held in place with stainless steel bands to prevent unwinding. The stainless steel bands and cut cable ends are polished to a bright finish. Each section comes with a medallion attesting to its authenticity and is presented on a finished oak display stand bearing a metal plaque.  The original steel and all fabricated designs on this website are made in the USA unless otherwise noted. Due to the recycled and handmade nature of this item, each is unique and may have slight variations and imperfections.
