Sausalito
The collaboration of Strands of History, Andy Cline (Roundwood Furniture), and Jesse and Aaron Bushey (Bushey Ironworks) is responsible for the design of the “Sausalito.” Cline created the top made of an inlay of claro-walnut burl with a perimeter of orange padauk. The table base came from the imaginative minds of master blacksmiths Jesse and Aaron Bushey. They forged bronze rivets to secure the legs through a billet made from reserved pieces of suspender rope in the shape of a decahedron. The sweeping leg supports are gently textured to add even more complexity to the design. The original Golden Gate Bridge suspender rope has an antique international orange patina finish.
Overall Dimensions: Length: 25 inches, Width: 20 inches, Height: 26 inches
Horizontal Rope: Length: 19 inches
Top: Wood inlay of claro-walnut burl surrounded by orange padauk, 1.6 inches thick
Steel Finish: Clear satin on steel base, matte on rope
Wood Finish: Rudd crystal-satin oil-based conversion varnish
Waldo
The collaboration of Strands of History, Andy Cline (Roundwood Furniture), and Jesse and Aaron Bushey (Bushey Ironworks) is responsible for the design of the “Waldo.” The “Waldo” is the same cantilever steel base as the “Tamalpais.”
The top of this counter height table is a mosaic of responsibly harvested hardwoods and burls selected and fused by Cline. The Bushey’s came up with the cantilever concept for this table to highlight the suspender rope. Added to the design are forged bronze rivets that secure the legs through a forged pressed steel base. The original Golden Gate Bridge suspender rope has an antique international orange patina finish. This table found its forever home as a stylish kitchen coffee station.

Custom Lighting
Traditional blacksmith techniques coupled with modern technology make this a truly unique table lamp. Aaron Bushey from Bushey Ironworks came up with the design where the 229 individual wires are forge-welded and hammered into a beautifully tapered riser and cantilever arm. The hand-forged steel coupled with the warm glow of the mica shade is perfectly paired. The lamp utilizes a soft LED bulb powered by a rechargeable battery. With no outlet needed, this innovative light goes anywhere.
Dimensions: Base to pivot rivet: 21 3/4 inches, Arm length: 19 ½ inches, Mica shade length: 5 inches, Shade diameter: 3 3/4 inches
Base: Length 11 inches by 4 inches
Steel Finish: Clear satin on steel base, matte on rope
Power: Wired with LED circle, rechargeable battery
